Four years after welcoming big crowds to its Western-themed gaming facility, the Eastern Shawnee Tribe is calling it quits at the Bordertown Casino and Arena in Oklahoma. The facility, located in Wyandotte, will close on December 15, according to a social media post. General manager Melanie D. Heskett said the times at 'Bordertown' were good since it reopened in April 2015. 'Now, four years later the tribe has reassessed Bordertown's place in its broader business plans and it has been decided to bring this chapter to a close and at this time there has been no future plans released for the facility,' Heskett said in a news release. The tribe will continue to operate the Indigo Sky Casino, its flagship property, and the Outpost Casino.
